the HUB

OUR STORY

A HISTORIC LANDMARK WITH A NEW PURPOSE.

A HUB BEFORE THE HUB.

In the early 1900s, Dr. Benjamin R. Bluitt pioneered African American healthcare, while Jacob Purvin fostered enterprise and opportunity next door. Today, their shared legacy of service, community, and purpose lives on at The HUB Gallery & Grounds.

GALLERY & GROUNDS

CREATIVITY MEETS COMMON GROUND.

Gallery represents creativity through art, culture, music, and expression. Grounds represents belonging—a welcoming place shaped by hospitality, community, common ground, historic ground, and the belief that every day is sacred ground.

GALLERY = CREATIVITY → GROUNDS = BELONGING → GATHER = CONNECTION → GRIND = GROWTH → GIVE = IMPACT

OUR PURPOSE

BUILT TO CONNECT. DRIVEN TO GIVE BACK.

The HUB brings people together through experiences that give back. From coffee and art leasing to events, merchandise, and venue rentals, every purchase and experience helps fuel Heroes ReMade and its mission to support Veterans, first responders, people in recovery, and the community.

FOUNDER

DR. MICAH “DERRICK” LOVE-JONES

A VISION TO BRING PEOPLE TOGETHER WITH PURPOSE.

A Veteran, artist, and servant leader, Dr. Micah Love-Jones created The HUB with a vision shaped by service and community: a place where art, music, and culture bring people together with purpose. His vision is to build a permanent home for community and connection, where people can find support and hope, share meaningful experiences, and give back—creating lasting impact.
